At the 3rd International Conference on Physical Computing (ICOPC24) held in Heidelberg on August 26-28, 2024, DTU took the stage to share pivotal advancements from the QPIC1550 project. The conference brings together stakeholders from diverse fields to discuss the prospects of using physical systems for information processing tasks in advanced computing, simulation and machine learning. The conference is a unique opportunity to discuss the latest developments in the physical computing field.
Caterina Vigliar from DTU held a presentation titled “Towards quantum networks enabled by integrated quantum photonics”. The presentation focused on QPIC1550’s remote quantum computing strategies and provided attendees with an in-depth look at the development of quantum dot-integrated sources operating at the telecom C-band (1550nm). DTU underscored the role of complex integrated quantum photonic circuitry, showcasing its potential to transform the landscape of scalable quantum technologies.
The conference, a significant event for researchers in the fields of quantum and physical computing, served as a platform for DTU to engage with international experts, disseminate insights, and foster collaboration.
