QPIC1550 General Assembly Held in Athens

The QPIC1550 consortium met in Athens on 30 June and 1 July for a two‑day general assembly hosted by project partner University of West Attica (UWA), bringing partners together as preparations advance for the project’s fourth and final year.

Across the meeting, partners reviewed progress and aligned on the next steps for the months ahead. Sessions on design and fabrication, as well as on heterogeneous technology development and packaging, provided an overview of ongoing work. These were complemented by updates from QTI, the University of West Attica and DTU on the project’s use cases and the experimental activities planned in partner laboratories.

A visit to UWA’s photonics laboratories offered a closer look at research supporting the project and helped consolidate discussions on the technical work required for upcoming demonstrations.

The consortium extends its thanks to the University of West Attica for hosting and facilitating these productive exchanges. The partners will reconvene next year for a final in‑person meeting.
