On 16 April, Caterina Vigliar delivered a keynote at the Danish Quantum Community Scientific Quantum Conference at Aalborg University. Her talk, Integrated Photonic Devices for Future Quantum Networks, presented recent work on entanglement distribution and quantum random number generators.
The keynote highlighted several themes central to QPIC1550, including integrated photonic platforms operating at 1550 nm, high‑dimensional entanglement distribution, and device architectures designed for scalable quantum networking. Dr Vigliar outlined how combining silicon, silicon nitride, and indium phosphide technologies can enable miniaturised chips capable of processing high‑dimensional photonic quantum states with improved capacity and noise resilience. The conference gathered researchers and industry partners from across Denmark for two days of scientific exchange.
